Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which categories we use on the Northbridge IT School website, and how you can manage your choices at any time.

Last Updated: March 18, 2026

This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly. Cookies and similar technologies help our site function, help us understand what content is useful, and (if you choose) help measure advertising performance.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They can be used for basic site functionality (like keeping a session stable), for remembering preferences, and for measuring interactions such as page views or form submissions.

In addition to cookies, some technologies work in a similar way, such as pixel tags (small code snippets that record that a page was viewed or a conversion happened) and server-side measurement that receives event data from the browser. When we refer to “cookies” in this policy, we include these similar tracking technologies unless stated otherwise.

Cookie lifespan and origin

Cookies can be either session cookies or persistent cookies:

  • Session cookies expire when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.

Cookies may also be first-party (set by Northbridge IT School) or third-party (set by a service provider that supports analytics or advertising). Whether a cookie is first-party or third-party can depend on how a tool is implemented.

Cookie categories we use

We group cookies into the following categories. You can manage your choices through the cookie banner and preferences panel (see “How to manage cookies” below). Essential cookies are always active because the site would not work reliably without them.

1) Essential cookies (always on)

Essential cookies are required for core site features, such as maintaining basic session continuity, storing your cookie consent choice, and supporting security controls. These cookies do not require consent under many privacy frameworks because they are strictly necessary for the service you request.

2) Analytics cookies (optional)

Analytics cookies help us understand how people use the website so we can improve content, navigation, and admissions information. When enabled, analytics may collect information such as pages visited, time spent on pages, general device and browser details, and high-level interaction events. Analytics cookies are enabled only if you choose them in the cookie preferences panel.

We commonly configure analytics tools to reduce data sensitivity (for example, IP anonymization where available) and to focus on aggregated reporting rather than individual identification.

3) Marketing cookies (optional)

Marketing cookies are used to measure ad performance and to show relevant ads across platforms. If enabled, these tools may help link an ad click to a site visit or a form submission. Marketing cookies are enabled only if you choose them in the cookie preferences panel.

Marketing measurement may use cookie identifiers, device information, and event data (such as page views or form conversions). Some implementations may also send limited data server-side for attribution or deduplication. Where identifiers are used, they are typically pseudonymous (not your name), but they may still be considered personal data in many jurisdictions.

The table below lists cookies that may be used on this website. Some cookies may appear only if you enable the related category, and some cookie names can vary depending on configuration.

Third-party providers

Depending on your cookie preferences and how measurement is configured, we may work with the following providers:

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager): analytics measurement, conversion attribution, and remarketing when enabled.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel and related tools): advertising measurement and remarketing when enabled.
  • Cloudflare (security and performance): may process IP-based signals for threat detection and reliability.

We do not permit these providers to use site data for their own independent commercial purposes.

How to manage cookies

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time by using the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the site footer. You can also control cookies through your browser settings by blocking or deleting cookies. If you disable all cookies in your browser, some site features may not work as expected.

Some providers also offer their own opt-out tools:

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, how we use them, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
